Good hearing is essential to a person’s physical and emotional well-being. And yet, hearing loss remains a common problem.
As part of the WS Audiology Group (WSA), a global leader in hearing care with the ambition of making wonderful sound part of everyone’s life, we believe in equal access to quality hearing care. For everyone. Everywhere.
SHOEBOX was developed as a way to help solve everyday problems faced by hearing health professionals and workplace safety managers. Problems like long wait times for access to hearing care. And limited or costly resources to deliver services.
Our founder, Dr. Matthew Bromwich, a pediatric otolaryngologist, thought there had to be a better way. A better way to test more people in more locations. That is why he invented SHOEBOX. The first clinically validated, automated hearing test available on an iPad.
Since then, the SHOEBOX portfolio has grown. Today our software-based audiometers are all optimized for boothless testing. We offer mobile, in-clinic, and tele-audiology solutions as well as online hearing screeners.
While our vision is to enable equal access to quality hearing care, as global citizens, we also believe we can have a positive impact that reaches beyond hearing.
One of our core values is to be “People of Integrity.” That means we support, respect, and trust one another. We applaud differences and unique human perspectives. We know that a diverse and inclusive world is a better world. A safer world. And ultimately, a healthier world.
Our International Advisory Board: Expert Collaboration Shaping Our Solutions
At SHOEBOX, we believe that evolving hearing care requires collaboration with the very best minds in the field.
That’s why we partner with leading clinicians from around the globe. Together, they bring decades of hands-on experience across public health systems, private practice, and community outreach.
Our International Advisory Board (IAB) is made up of accomplished audiology professionals who generously volunteer their time to provide insights, evaluate our tools in real-world settings, and ensure SHOEBOX continues to meet the needs of both patients and clinicians worldwide. Their contributions, from usability testing and surveys to real-time product feedback, play a critical role in shaping our direction and driving continuous improvement.
