SHOEBOX Data Management V3.31
Updated: April 8, 2026
Version 3.31 of the SHOEBOX Data Management Portal introduces Restore Deleted Patients, a powerful new feature that allows administrators to recover accidentally deleted patient records. This release also delivers significant improvements to table customization, enabling users to personalize their workflow, along with performance optimizations that enhance the overall portal experience.
Key Highlights
The highlight of this release is the new Restore Deleted Patients feature. Administrators can now view and restore deleted patient records within a 90-day retention window. Patients pending deletion are displayed in read-only mode, ensuring data integrity while providing the flexibility to recover records when needed.
New Feature: Restore Deleted Patients
The Deleted Patients page provides administrators with the ability to view and restore deleted patient records within a 90-day retention window.
Key capabilities include:
- A dedicated Deleted Patients page with pagination and filtering
- Read-only view of patients pending deletion showing all historical data (demographics, audiograms, documents, reviewer history)
- One-click restore functionality
- Automatic permanent deletion after 90 days
This feature significantly reduces the risk of accidental data loss while maintaining data management control.

Access Deleted Patients from the Patients page in the DM Portal.

The Deleted Patients page lists all patients pending removal. An info banner confirms the 90-day retention window, and the overflow menu on each row exposes the Restore action.

Deleted patients can be viewed in read-only mode before restoring.
Enhancements
Performance Improvements
Several database optimizations have been implemented to improve overall system performance, resulting in faster page load times, particularly for users on slower network connections.
USB-C Microphone Calibration Certificates
Added support for downloading calibration certificates for USB-C microphones directly from the DM Portal.
Bug Fixes
The following issues have been addressed in this release:
- Fixed an issue where users were unable to delete patient documents when multiple patients were selected.
- Fixed an error that caused re-importing patient data to fail after a patient record had been deleted.
- Fixed an issue where reviewers were unable to make a Clinical Determination for patients whose gender was set to Unspecified.
- Fixed an issue where the Save As function in Reports overwrote the existing report instead of creating a new one.
- Fixed an issue with audiometer information display on Summary Reports.
- Fixed an issue where a patients next action was incorrectly set to Merged patient records instead of Review Results following a merge.
