SHOEBOX Online V3.27 and our Customer Portal contain the following improvements:
Data Access Groups
We’re thrilled to announce a new update to SHOEBOX Online (SBO) that puts you in control of participant data access, making it easier than ever to protect participant privacy and manage results across locations or lead sources. With Data Access Groups, you can now manage who on your team views participant results, ensuring only authorized users have access.
Capabilities:
- Flexible Group Management: Admins can create, edit, and disable Data Access Groups
- Attaching Data Access Groups to Tests: Add Data Access Group parameters directly to your SBO test URL. Data groups can be used with other URL parameters like Onsite mode and RefSource. eg.
- Assign Users Easily: Admins can assign team members to specific Data Access Groups directly from the user’s profile, so only authorized users see results relevant to their role.
- Filtered Results View: Basic users always see only the data they need, with a permanent Data Access Group filter applied to their SBO results view.

Quick Setup: A simple toggle on the Test Setup page lets you add or remove all optional questions in a single click.
Flexible Screening: Control the length of your screener to fit your organization’s needs to optimize for speed or collecting helpful participant information.
The following questions are considered optional:

- Do you find it hard to follow conversations in a noisy environment?
- Do you feel like one ear hears significantly better than the other one?
- Have you thought about how you might deal with your hearing trouble?
- How soon do you hope to take action on your hearing trouble?
