Hearing loss is recordable when an employee has experienced an STS AND their hearing level at 2,000, 3,000, and 4,000 Hz is 25 dB or more above audiometric zero in the same ear. Must be posted publicly in February for the preceding year. Companies with 10 or fewer employees are generally exempt. (29 CFR 1904.10)
